"With my approach, I do not have a specific image in my mind but an emotion in my heart. I begin my paintings with a spontaneous gesture of dark colours that become the backdrop to explore lighter colours, shapes and different techniques. Then I play with textures by applying and removing layers of paint. The process is meant to be a moment of spontaneity and exploration. "
