No Goodbyes

This piece entitled, "No Goodbyes" represents the chaos of being prepared for someone to pass away but then ultimately not getting the chance to say goodbye. With COVID this happens more often and families are ripped apart trying to reconcile the loss of a loved one when they are not able to be by their side or visit in their last days.

This piece was sparked by a recent conversation I had with a fellow creative on how the mourning process was interrupted and unfairly ripped away from her family after she suddenly lost her mother and not all family members could visit and hold her hand at the end due to COVID restrictions. The deep blue and orange colour scheme with the bold brushstrokes represents the chaos of moments like this and the turmoil that you go through as this occurs.
